Our Hon’ble Supreme Court says "Police officers should not harass Gay or Lesbian couples by calling them to the Police station or visiting their homes just to question them about their Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation. The Supreme Court states that Police officers should not make Gay or Lesbian couples individuals go back to their families if they don't want to return. "If a Gay or Lesbian couples files a Police Complaint, claiming that their family is restricting their freedom to move around, the Police should make sure to confirm the complaint's authenticity and ensure that the Person's freedom is not restricted."If anyone lodged a complaint against Gay or Lesbian couples, the Police must first determine if the person is an adult. If the person is an adult and is in a consensual relationship with another person of the same or different gender or has left their natal home of their own volition, the Police shall close the complaint after recording a statement to that effect.
